Families Managing Feeding Challenges
For caregivers whose child experiences food selectivity, limited food variety, challenging mealtime behaviors, or difficulty participating in family meals.
Some of the most meaningful challenges families face happen outside of structured therapy sessions. Mealtimes become stressful. Bedtime turns into a nightly struggle. Toilet training feels overwhelming or stalls altogether. These routines may seem small from the outside, but they have a significant impact on a child’s independence, confidence, and quality of life–and on the well-being of the entire family.
At Advance to Thrive, we provide individualized feeding, sleep, and toilet training support that helps caregivers navigate these everyday challenges with practical guidance, consistent strategies, and compassionate support.
Children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD), Conduct Disorder, anxiety-related challenges, developmental delays, and other behavioral or developmental needs may experience difficulties with eating, sleeping, and toileting routines.
These challenges often affect the entire household. Parents may find themselves trying different approaches, searching for answers, or feeling unsure about what steps to take next.
Because most of our services are delivered in the home, we’re able to support families where these routines naturally occur. Rather than relying on strategies developed in a clinical setting, we help caregivers build practical solutions that reinforce the goals being addressed through ABA therapy while fitting naturally into daily life.
Our goal is not simply to address a specific behavior. It’s to help caregivers feel confident, supported, and equipped with strategies they can use long after a session ends.
“Our goal is to create supportive and engaging environments where children can build independence, confidence, and lifelong skills through compassionate care. ”

Our caregiver coaching and support services are designed for families navigating challenges related to daily routines and independence skills.
Every family’s needs are different. Our support plans are individualized based on your child’s developmental level, current challenges, and family goals.

There’s no universal solution for feeding difficulties, sleep challenges, or toilet training. Every child brings unique strengths, needs, preferences, and learning styles.
Our approach begins with understanding your family’s goals, current routines, and areas of concern. From there, we develop practical strategies that can be implemented within your home.
Because we work primarily in home settings, we’re able to observe routines where they naturally occur and provide coaching in real time. Whether that’s during a family meal, a bedtime routine, or a toilet training practice, support happens in the moments where it’s most meaningful.
We also collaborate closely with caregivers and, when appropriate, other professionals involved in your child’s care to help promote consistency across environments and support long-term progress.
The skills involved in eating, sleeping, and toileting influence nearly every aspect of daily life. When those routines become more predictable and successful, families often experience less stress, greater confidence, and more opportunities to focus on what matters most.
At Advance to Thrive, we’re here to help caregivers navigate those challenges with practical support, individualized strategies, and guidance that fits naturally into everyday life.
